HP Printer Troubleshooting

Posted by: keyquery on 9/15/2020 4:41 AM

HP printers are among the best in the industry. Sometimes users may have problems with these printers. In such a case, the HP printer does not print.
So how do you troubleshoot an HP printer not printing?
Before you troubleshoot or attempt to resolve the problem, you should first try to find out where the problem is. The operation of the printer can be affected by various reasons, such as the problem with the printer software on the computer, or perhaps the computer itself or even due to the USB cable connecting the printer to the computer.
Here are the steps to troubleshoot an HP printer that won't print: +1-888-303-0834
Step 1: Starting from the very basic step, first check both ends of the printer's power cord and USB cable and make sure they are securely connected. Directly plug the power cord into an outlet instead of a battery backup or surge protector. Also, connect the USB cable to the computer, not to any other USB device or hub.
Step 2: Now, check the printer's power light, if it is solid or blinking. In case you installed a new print cartridge about 12 minutes earlier, wait for the light to stop flashing, as the printer might be taking time to initialize the new cartridge.
Step 3: Another thing you try to troubleshoot the HP printer is to unplug the power cord, open the printer covers, and then remove the paper from the input and output trays if the power light continues to blink. Also, remove any jammed pieces of paper from inside the printer, if any. Now, slide the cartridge carriage to the left and right sides of the printer, removing any debris that blocks its movement.
Step 4: Just to make sure that the HP printer is set as the default printer, use the software application that you used to make the print request. Now, click on the "File" menu, then click "Print" and check if the printer name is selected from the drop-down menu at the top of the print window. If it is not the default, select the printer from the menu, click the "Print" icon and try printing again.
Step 5: Now, right click on the printer icon on the right side of the taskbar, see if a check mark appears next to "Pause printing. If the check mark appears, click" Pause printing "to resume pending print job Also, be sure to close any other applications open on the printer to get rid of potential conflicts.
